Webmaster's Note:

We have temporarily moved the Greenwich pages to sub-pages of the Willard page because, in 2009, we saw a significant reduction of train pictures from Greenwich -- about 12 miles east of Willard. If Greenwich photo activity picks up in 2010, we will reactivate Greenwich as its own page.

Greenwich is a busy CSX junction where the New Castle Sub (ex-B&O) and the Cleveland Sub (ex-NYC Big Four) join to send trains to Willard, Cleveland, Akron, New Castle, and Columbus.

CSX is the predominant carrier at Greenwich; however, the Wheeling & Lake Erie has trackage rights on CSX between New London (CP 47) and Willard, and between New London and Carey, and runs at least two trains a day (with "Z" symbols)  through Greenwich.

This page also includes pictures taken at Boughtonville, New London and Nova, all of which are a short distance from Greenwich, as well as from Shelby and Galion which are nearby.

You might want to view and print out the Greenwich Maps and Greenwich Facts pages to help you know where to, and not to, park in the Greenwich area while you are railfanning there
